How does a pipe bending machine work?

With the development of industrial technology, more and more industrial machines have been invented. A typical example is the hydraulic pipe bender, which has a wide range of applications. For example, armrests, handlebars, car frames and furniture, or pipes for conveying gas and liquid, exhaust pipes, etc.

The working principle of the hydraulic pipe bending machine is: the electric oil pump outputs high-pressure oil, which is sent to the working cylinder through the high-pressure oil pipe. The high-pressure oil pushes the plunger in the working cylinder to generate thrust. The pipe is put into the bending tooling of the pipe bender, clamped by the mold, and the pipe is bent by the pushing force.

The bending tooling mentioned above is basically composed of five parts:
Bending die: bend the pipe to form an angle
Clamping die: hold the other side of the bending mold in place
Pressure die: fix the tube on the top of the bend
Wiper die: fix the tube under the bend
Mandrel:insert in the middle of the tube to protect the tube from wrinkles during bending

How does a pipe bending machine work?

BLMA's hydraulic tube bending machine have 2 main types of semi-automatic and fully automatic. As well as a variety of different models, which can bend steel pipes with a minimum diameter of 6mm to a maximum of 219mm. And according to customer requirements, we can customized different bending toolings bend bending radius. The bending accuracy is very high. Regarding the bending angle, the distance between each bend, and the rotation angle of the pipe, etc, all can be entered on the machine's PLC controller or IPC controller. After finishing the programming, press the start button, and the hydraulic pipe bender will work according to the program.
