The standard pipe bender of general metal pipe bending machine has bending die, clamping die and pressing die. Wiper die and mandrels are optional.

Many customers will not understand why they need to provide accurate pipe products information, including outer diameter, wall thickness, bending radius, material and so on. If customers cannot provide accurate information, they can also send samples to us. In fact, this is not the special requirement of our factory, but the default requirement of the whole pipe bending machine industry. The main reason for this situation is that there are more or less errors between the actual design size of metal pipe fittings and the theoretical design size.

Example 1: Stainless steel pipe, theoretically required to have a diameter of 38.1mm, but the pipe produced by the stainless steel pipe manufacturer may only have a diameter of 37.65mm, resulting in a 0.45mm error between the two.

If we design the pipe bending tool according to the theoretical size of 38.1mm, the dies will be very large, which will lead to the pipe slipping, the clamp is not tight, and finally lead to the bend crease and other problems. The mold is ineffective, which can not achieve bending, and waste time and money. Because the clamped mould was too large to be resized, the mould had to be redesigned. This increases the cost to the client.

Example 2: The diameter of stainless steel pipe is 38.1mm, but the diameter of stainless steel pipe manufacturer is larger, 38.55mm, there is a 0.45mm error between the two.

If we design the pipe bending tool according to the theoretical size of 38.1mm, the mold will become smaller and the pipe cannot be clamped. In this case, the mold can be enlarged, but it will waste time. Moreover, the mold is hardened and heat treated. If the mold is hardened, it needs to be annealed first, and then go to the lathe to process the size, which increases a lot of work and affects the mass production.
