Slow bending function of pipe bender

When bending a pipe, some pipes will rebound after bending. Usually, the way of reducing the bending speed is used to increase the shaping of the pipes. This allows longer time to finalize the structure of the material inside the pipe. However, if the whole bending process is using deceleration bending, although the springback problem is reduced, the pipe tube bending machine efficiency is also reduced. So how to solve this problem perfectly, processing speed is improved at the same time to solve the springback problem?

For this reason, the slow bending function is added to our pipe bending machine bender control system (Figure. 1).

The use of this function is set according to the remaining angle of the current target position. When the bending value is less than or equal to this value, the bending action will be reduced as shown in Figure. 2. The angle A in the figure corresponds to the angle set for the slow bend.

The dotted line is the target position and the solid line is the current position.
For example, the target angle after bending is 90°, if this data is set to 20° at this time. Then when the machine bends to 70 degrees, it starts to perform a slow bend.

It should be noted that this function requires accurate monitoring of angle changes to control the bending action, which cannot be achieved by hydraulic elbow cylinders, so only the tube and pipe bending machine using servo elbow can have this function.
