In pipe processing, It is often encountered that the one pipe needs to be connected with another one, If it is an end connection, you only need to use the connector for the connection. If there are one large pipe and another small pipe, reducer joint is needed. In the case as shown in Figure 1, if the diameter of tube No. 2 is much smaller than that of tube No. 1 and it is not a major load-bearing component, the laser pipe cutter or intersecting line cutter can be used to cut the pipe fitting and then insert tube No. 2 into the hole for welding.

However, this method cannot be used when No. 1 and No. 2 pipe diameters are the same or similar, because many pipe surfaces need to be cut, resulting in reduced pipe fitting strength that cannot be supported. This kind of pipe fitting is mostly found on bicycle racks (Figure 2).

As the main support of the product, in order to increase the reliability of pipeline docking is not beautiful, if it is necessary to ensure the appearance of the processing method, it is recommended to use arc-punching machine to cut the arc of the joint pipe. Arc-stroke process is a new welding method in welding technology. That is, before welding, the steel pipe needs to do arc cutting processing, and then the processed steel pipe will be welded. At the same time, it is also necessary to equip arc punching machine, as shown in Figure 3:

The working mode of arc-punching machine: the pipe is clamped by the central cylinder, and the side pipe cutting cylinder controls the arc angle to meet the processing requirements according to the scale of the table.

In most cases, the arc punching machine is used with the pipe bender. In order to facilitate clamping and ensure the accuracy of the arc out, the processing sequence is suggested to carry out arc punching before bending, so as to meet the requirements of use.
