Punch function of pipe bender


When it comes to pipe bending, whether in furniture industry or outdoor setting, it is essential to drill holes in pipes and fix them with bolts, such as the hole for fixing hopper on the trolley bracket in Figure 1.

In most cases, the punching machine will be used to punch the pipes, and then the bending machine will be bent. In this way, the size accuracy after lofting is very high. If the technical support is not enough, some people will choose to manually punch the hole after bending. Both approaches have drawbacks.

When bending pipes after the punching. The position of the pipe is wrong and the ductility of the bending, then the hole position of each finished pipe will be different, and the shape of the hole will be affected if the positioning is not correct.

After bending and then punching, although the problem of hole position error is solved, but the efficiency will be very low, not suitable for mass production.

Considering the above factors, the machine and control system of our pipe bender can choose to add the punch function.

The working sequence of this function is to use the feeding car of the pipe bender to control the position of the pipe fitting, and the punching needle on the clamping die to complete the punching action, and then bend. Since all the processes are controlled by the machine, its positioning method solves the problem of hole position error and shape deviation. Because it is punching, and is carried out at the same time with the bending of the pipe fitting, the efficiency is much higher than manual.

Of course, he also has shortcomings, because the punching space on the machine is limited, the punching cylinder can not be too large, so the punching can only be done on both sides of the through hole. Added some processing time.
