What determines the time for a pipe bender to bend a piece
According to our many experimental statistics, when bending a 25.4mm tube, the machine prepares for the next bend from feeding to the end of the bending, and the average time for one bend is about 9 seconds. If you bend a 38.1mm pipe, the speed of one bend is 12 seconds. Then use a mandrel to bend the 38.1mm tube at a speed of 15 seconds. In the end, we used a 38.1mm stainless steel tube for bending with a mandrel, and the speed reduction control was required to complete a bend in 18 seconds.
Table 1 Bending speed comparison
According to the data in the table, in the case of all with mandrels, the stainless steel pipe takes 1/3 more time than the carbon steel pipe, the same pipe with mandrel takes 1/6 more time than the mandrel without mandrel, and the 38.1mm The tube takes 1/2 longer than the 25.4mm tube. It can be seen that the bending time of the tube is most affected by the size and material of the tube.
