Working efficiency comparison of semi-automatic and fully-automatic pipe bender
BLMA pipe benders are divided into two main series, semi-automatic tube benders and fully automatic tube benders. Both of these two pipe benders can use mandrel bends to obtain better bending results. And we are going to mainly analyze the difference between these two types of pipe benders from the aspect of working efficiency, possibly hope this would help users who have such a problem.
First of all, the mandrel bending machine is composed of a series of bending work. The following action diagram Figure 1 can help you understand NC pipe bender workflow.
Figure 1 Workflow
Compared with the traditional manual pipe bender, semi-automatic hydraulic pipe bender greatly improves the efficiency of pipe bending and the pipe bending. However, with the increasing requirements of users, semi-automatic hydraulic pipe benders have become less and less possibility to meet modern mass production needs. Since 1998, BLMA has begun to develop, design and produce fully automatic pipe benders. AS the matter of fact, the first fully automatic pipe bending machine came out smoothly in 2002. In the working process, the automatic pipe bender has extra function of automatic positioning function. In the PLC program, set the required positioning firstly, whether it is feeding or turning. It not only greatly improves the working efficiency, but also greatly improves the positioning accuracy. The following is a comparison of the data what we obtained based on the sample bending experiments, please refer to Figure 2 as below.

The positioning function of the automatic pipe bender is mainly realized by the trolley. As shown in Figure 3, the structure diagram of the trolley is indicated. The technology of the main transmission components (servo motors, reducers, racks, linear guides) is becoming more and more mature, the prices are becoming more and more affordable. This greatly reduces the production costs of the automatic pipe bending machine, and creates conditions for users to obtain a stable and efficient automatic pipe bending machine. In addition, after years of hard work by the BLMA CNC system department, the operation of the CNC system has been very friendly. Most customers can master the operation of the automatic pipe bender after simple training or video learning.
