Difference between Double bending and Single bending

When it comes to pipe bending technology, pipe bending machine is the first thing that comes to mind. The pipe bender machine in Figure. 1 is our common single bender. It is well known for its high precision, high adaptability and ability to bend pipe fittings of various shapes.

At the same time it has a more perfect numerical control system to make its operation more convenient, and because of the increase of work function makes the operator of the system understanding also increases. Its bending action is done one bend after another, so it has an advantage in bending complex pipe fittings, but for the pipe fittings in Figure. 2, its working effect is not so satisfactory.

The structure of the piece in the figure is simple, but the programming of the bender takes a lot of time, and the interference of the boxed closed piece in the figure also needs to be considered. At the same time, the single bending machine has a limitation that only one pipe can be bent at the same time. If the customer mass-produces the pieces in Figure 2 one by one and bends point by point, the efficiency cannot be improved. Therefore, double bending machine can be considered for such simple products (Figure 3).

The double pipe bending machine can be bent on both sides at the same time for the parts in Figure. 2 by selecting a good model and making a good mold. As shown in Figure 4, the bending process of the square pipe fitting is simply done.

From the red dashed line state to the black solid line shape, can be completed on both sides at the same time, compared with the single bending machine only to complete a much faster. If the pressure of the machine is sufficient, two pipe fittings can be formed at a time by adding a touch.

However, if the pipe diameter is too large, we still recommend the use of single bending machine.
