1. Cleaning

In the process of metal cutting, the cutting fluid is required to have a good cleaning effect. Remove the chip, wear debris, iron powder, oil stains and sand, prevent the contamination of the machine tool, workpiece and tool, keep the cutting edge of the tool or grinding wheel sharp, so as not to affect the cutting effect. For oil-based cutting oils, the lower the viscosity, the stronger the cleaning ability, especially for cutting oils containing kerosene, diesel and other light components, the better the permeability and cleaning performance.

2.lubricating

The cooling effect of the cutting fluid is through the convection and vaporization between the cutting fluid and the tool, chip and the workpiece, the cutting heat away from the tool and the workpiece, so as to effectively reduce the cutting temperature, reduce the thermal deformation of the workpiece and the tool, maintain the hardness of the tool, improve the machining accuracy and tool durability. The cooling performance of cutting fluid is related to its thermal conductivity, specific heat, heat of vaporization and viscosity. The thermal conductivity and specific heat of water are higher than oil, so the cooling performance of water is better than oil.

4.Rusting

In the process of metal processing, there will be high temperature change and then cooling, workpiece and environmental media may be oxidized. Used cutting fluid components may react; The sludge produced can corrode tools, workpieces or lathes. Rusted workpiece can not meet the surface quality required by customers; Otherwise, tool rust will accelerate the loss and increase the cost.

Have all three of these things ready. After the purchase of the machine according to the manufacturer's operation manual correct filling (cutting fluid needs to be mixed with water in proportion) and installation debugging can be used.
