Changing the Pipe Bender Die

The steel pipe bending machine mold mainly includes a bending die, a clamping die, and a guide die. Only one set of dies may be used on a machine, and several sets of dies may be prepared for processing other products, so changing dies is an essential operation. So how to replace the round pipe bending machine dies? First look at the Bending die diagram 1:

Figure 1 Nut removal

First remove the lock nut above the bending die, then remove the unused bending die, replace with a new bending die, and finally install the lock nut. This is the replacement of the die with the same bending die installation shaft. If the bending die installation shaft has a different thickness, the installation shaft and lock nut need to be replaced. The lock nut needs to be removed from below. Figure 2 Pull the shaft out of the machine by hitting and replace it. Install the mold.

The replacement of the clamping die can be easily replaced only by loosening the fixing bolts of the wedge block.

The replacement of the guide die is relatively complicated, because the installation of the guide die auxiliary push cylinder cannot see the removal method, and many users will blindly remove the guide mold installation frame. This operation is wrong, and the correct replacement method is shown in Figure 3:

Figure 3 Head Position

First adjust the machine to the position in the picture, and then use the manual mode of the operation panel to push the guide die to open, and let the oil cylinder send the guide die to the position shown in Figure 4:

This way, the fixed point of the wedge-shaped block of the guide die can be clearly seen. Replace after removal. Finally, reset the machine to complete the replacement of the die, and then only need to modify the machine parameters according to the new die data to use.
